Located since 1971 in the town of Gilette, France, thirty kilometres north of Nice, La Mesta has established since its founding close relationships with major pharmaceutical companies through its particular expertise in manipulating sensitive raw materials and its ability to develop complex, active pharmaceutical ingredients.
As a subsidiary of major chemical companies such as Shell, Inspec and Laporte for nearly twenty years, La Mesta took advantage of this time to integrate high quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
Starting in the 2000s, La Mesta developed unique technologies from combination of organic chemistry and engineering skills possessed by its teams. This innovation strategy helped the company stand out from its competitors by offering its clients proprietary technologies and unique expertise in the world of fine chemicals.
This success was made possible by the long-term entrepreneurial vision of La Mesta shareholders, who support the development of innovative equipment over many, long years.
Yxens, a small French family-owned company has been the owner of La Mesta since 2013 and is thoroughly committed to moving forward with the company’s vision. It holds the strong belief that the industry still has a place in France, as long as it remains focused on technology and virtuous .
