Our HSE policy

We use chemical raw materials in our factory, which may be inflammable or toxic, to transform them into products that we all use every day, in the form of active ingredients found in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and flavours and fragrances.

The storage and use of these raw materials designates our facility as a lower-tier SEVESO establishment, and we are responsible for ensuring the safety of our team, our neighbours and the environment.

In addition, respecting health, safety and environment guidelines is a core component of our team’s DNA, and we have a duty to set an example for corporate social responsibility.

• For nearly twenty years, we have developed innovative technologies in miniaturised, continuous flow chemistry that help reduce the impact of our industrial production and the associated risks.
• We are signatories of the Responsible Care initiative developed by and for the chemical industry and we also apply and oversee our own responsibility charter.
• We have been committed for several years now to the EcoVadis voluntary initiative so we can provide greater transparency and visibility to our corporate social responsibility efforts. La Mesta received the ECOVADIS GOLD rating and its overall score of 72/100 places it among the top two per cent of the best rated companies out of the 45,000 companies assessed by Ecovadis.
